FAQ
The questions authors ask us most
If your question is not answered here, our author relations team will reply personally.
- What exactly is Global Literary Network?
- We are an international literary publication. We publish book spotlights, author interviews, reviews, literary news and essays about writing and publishing. Authors can also pay for professional promotional features, which are always clearly labelled as sponsored.
- Is a paid feature the same as a review?
- No, and we keep the two strictly separate. Paid features are editorial presentations of your book: synopsis, context, why it will appeal, and where to buy it. Reviews are commissioned independently by our reviews editor and cannot be purchased under any circumstances.
- How do I submit my book?
- Use the Submit Your Book form. Tell us about the title, genre, and the readers you think it is for, and include a cover image and retailer links if you have them. You will hear back from our author relations team within three to five working days.
- Do you accept every book?
- No. We decline submissions that are unfinished, that fall outside the genres we cover, or that we do not believe we can present honestly to our readers. Declining costs you nothing.
- How long does a feature take to publish?
- Typically seven to fourteen days from approval, depending on the package. Launch campaigns are scheduled around your publication date and should be booked at least four weeks ahead.
- How long does my feature stay online?
- Indefinitely. Spotlight pages are permanent, keep their URL, and remain indexed by search engines. We will only remove a page at the author's request.
- Can I make changes after publication?
- Yes. Factual corrections are made immediately and free of charge. Substantive rewrites are possible within thirty days of publication.
- Do you work with publishers and publicists?
- Regularly. We offer list arrangements for publishers featuring three or more titles per quarter. Contact us for terms.
- What formats and languages do you cover?
- Print, ebook and audiobook editions are all eligible. Features are published in English, but we welcome translated titles and books set anywhere in the world.
- How do you handle my personal data?
- We collect only what we need to publish your feature and correspond with you, and we never sell it. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
