Our story

Seven years of putting readers in front of the right book

What began as a small newsletter shared between four editors in three countries now reaches readers, booksellers, librarians and book clubs across more than twenty countries. The format has not changed: read the book, then write honestly about it.

We publish spotlights, long-form reviews, author interviews and industry news every week, and we run reading groups and live author events that bring those conversations off the page.

How we work

Our editorial standards

01

We read the whole book

No feature is written from a press release or a sample chapter.

02

We label paid placement

Sponsored spotlights carry a clear label on the page itself.

03

We can say no

If we cannot recommend a title honestly, we tell the author before any invoice.

04

We correct in public

Factual errors are fixed with a dated note at the foot of the piece.

Global Literary Network started from a simple frustration: brilliant books were disappearing into catalogues, and the only promotion available to their authors looked and read like adverts. Readers scroll past adverts. They stop for recommendations.

So we built a place where every book is presented the way a bookseller would hand it to you - with context, with an honest sense of who it is for, and with the reason it is worth your evening. Our editors read the material, speak to the author where it helps, and write the feature themselves.

We work with self-published authors, small presses and traditional imprints alike. What we look for is not a marketing budget but a book that will genuinely land with the readers we send it to.

Paid placement funds the editorial work, and we are open about that on every page. What payment does not buy is a dishonest write-up: if we cannot recommend a book with a straight face, we say so before you pay rather than after.

Editorial first

Every feature is written by a person who has read the book.

Reader-facing

Our audience arrives looking for something new to read.

Straightforward

Clear packages, clear turnaround, no long-term contracts.
