Most launch plans collapse because they are front-loaded. The month after publication matters more than the week of it.
Before launch: metadata, cover, sample chapters, and three people who will genuinely tell other people about the book.
After launch: keep publishing something adjacent to the book every fortnight. Attention is a habit, not an event.
